MG
Two MGB’s or not to B, that is the question!

Two MGB’s or not to B, that is the question!

If you are looking for an iconic open-top car then we have three MGs that are becoming very collectable classics that will only increase in rarity value.

MG Midget Red Classic Car

If either of our two fully restored MGB’s are not quite the answer for you, then how about something a midget cheaper! The smaller MG open-top sports classic, the MG Midget, so popular in the sixties and seventies, will make a great alternative.

‘They all come with our money-back 7-day guarantees and can be delivered to your home…’

All 3 are waiting for that nostalgic moment to bring back so many wonderful memories for someone who has previously owned such a great car, or someone who has ever dreamed of owning something really collectable. They all come with our money-back 7-day guarantees and can be delivered to your home so just call for our latest covid-19 delivery update on what we can offer. These are the words and details of the work done by MG enthusiast John Upton who has so lovingly given new life to the MGBs.

“With circa half a million sold new back in their day, the MGB has always been popular and remains so today. Fast enough to keep up with modern traffic but so much more rewarding to drive they really do put the fun back into motoring. Free road tax and super cheap insurance and servicing also help the argument between heart and mind.”

All 3 of these MG’s are immaculate throughout…

The MGBs we have for sale have so many fans that there are still 23,000 or so registered in the UK which is actually circa 10,000 more than there were in 2010. (source www.howmanyleft.co.uk) not bad for a car that finished production in 1980!

Interested in possibly buying but which to choose? The early Mk1 cars have the purist lines but their rarity and desirability carry a premium. The post-1970 Mk2 models are more plentiful and retain the chrome bumpers and many other features of the earlier cars. The later ‘rubber bumper cars are cheaper but like all MGBs their values have been increasing of late.”

Currently we have for sale a very early Mk1 Roadster in absolutely superb condition having been recently fully restored. The original body shell has been stripped, all traces of rust removed and then rebuilt to the original specification and repainted in beautiful dark British Racing Green.

The engine has also been rebuilt which together with a new wiring loom means there’s nothing left to do other than to use and enjoy this beautiful car.

The cost of this exacting work totals more than the asking price, the quality of workmanship is exceptional so the asking price makes it a real bargain.

The second MGB is a Teal blue Mk2 Roadster purchased new by its sole owner in 1971…

The gentleman has recently passed and so after 50 years in the same ownership, the car is available again for the first time.
Like the green car, the original body shell has been stripped and rebuilt, using as many of the original, refurbished parts as possible and new parts wherever needed.

The engine has been rebuilt and a new wiring loom installed. A new crackle finish applied to the dashboard and the seats retrimmed in the original colour although leather has replaced the vinyl coverings.

The wheels were replaced in period and have just been fitted with brand new but period correct Pirelli Cinturato tyres.

Take confidence that both of the MGBs have been lovingly rebuilt. The only question now is to answer: To B or not to B!
